Midnight Sun Band

SPACE, 1245 Chicago Ave, Evanston

Two big bands from the east coast…

Kool & The Gang, who has represented Philly since 1964, and NYC’s own since 1974, Cameo. Both bands were well versed in Jazz and Funk in their early days and saw moderate to big success on the R&B/Soul Charts in the mid to late 70’s. As the 1980’s emerged, many of the big horn section based bands fell upon hard times with the changes in music styles and recording technology, but not these cats. K&TG and Cameo broke through to superstardom in the 80’s with huge chart topping hits on the Pop charts, changing with the times without completely abandoning their core sound and fan base. It’s only right that Midnight Sun Band puts together a show to pay homage to these legendary bands who still tour and perform to this day.

DJ Pickled Beats will spin at doors and after the concert.
